In Polignano a Mare you can dive … in chocolate!

A Polignano a Mare ci si tuffa... nel cioccolato!

In Polignano a Mare you don’t just dive in from the cliffs of Lama Monachile but, from tomorrow Friday 5 April until Sunday 7, even in pools of … chocolate! The famous Apulian fishing village, in fact, is preparing to host the Handmade Chocolate Festival. In Piazza Aldo Moro, in the historic center of the town, the pool of chocolatiers of the Choco Amore (National Chocolatier Association) will be the undisputed protagonists of the three days dedicated to the culture of chocolate, to the delight of the palate of tourists and residents.

The masters of Choco Amore, coming from 15 Italian regions, will create a series of educational workshops and demonstrations of cake design on Italian confectionery excellences, made by students and professors. Promoting the beneficial properties of handmade chocolate helps to discover “real” chocolate compared to the industrial one which, with the additives added to make it last for a long time, loses the taste of pure cocoa, the aroma and the aftertaste elements typical of this food considered, since the time of the Maja, the “food of the Gods”.

The beneficial properties of chocolate, we know, are many: it is antidepressant, antioxidant, helps the heart, circulation and accelerates the metabolism. Thanks to the Choco Amore national tour, further importance is given to responsible and conscious consumption of genuine products. The Chocolate Festival, so it becomes a unique opportunity to buy healthy products, not available in large retailers. And, starting tomorrow, Polignano a Mare will be invaded not only by adults but also by children: for them lots of animation, captivating shows and fun lessons on chocolate processing. Are you ready to dive into the taste?
