About this hotel
The hotel is located in the town centre, a few minutes walk from the old town centre and near supermarkets, bar, restaurants, bus stop and next to a very nice park with a playground for children. The easiest way to get to the hotel is by car or by bus although the town centre is within walking distance or reachable by bicycle. The bus stop is 5 minutes away; the nearest airport, Olbia, is about 1 hour driving away while monuments and museums 10 minutes away by foot. Free car parking is available right opposite the hotel while free motorbikes parking is available indoors. The hotel is a three story building which was built at the beginning of 1900s; its structure is inspired by medieval castles. 2 detached buildings in the garden are also part of the establishment. Originally, what now is the breakfast room, was the old kitchen, where the staff used to make the traditional Sardinian bread; a wood burning oven in still present in the room. The other detached building once was the old stable and now is the Economy room located on the right hand-side of the main entrance. The castle was built on a big basalt rock so the terrace on the top overlooks the sweet valley of Cedrino and the mountains around; itìs possible to enjoy the view by drinking a nice glass of wine. The basalt rock was already an archaeological site in fact there are some domus de jana, literally “House of the Fairies” but actually a type of pre-Nuragic chamber tombs found in Sardinia; they are located in front of the hotel but also in the garden and even inside the castle! There are 7 rooms in total, all with bathroom with shower, toiletries, hair-dryer, tv, cordless phone, free wi-fi, airco/heat pump. Drinks such as water, coke, sprite, beer and some local wine bottles are available upon request as well as local cheese and cured meats for aperitif served on the terrace. Itìs also possible to have a catering service for barbecue fish or meat dinners and also for small events. The nearest beach is about 10 minutes away by car or by bus with a summer timetable service. At about 20/30 kilometresì away other beautiful beaches can be easily reached as well as interesting archaeological sites, traditions museums, trekking and free climbing areas, horse riding, diving etc. The hotel also offers beach towels rentals, packed lunches on request, room service, booking service for sea or inland excursions, bikes rentals, cooking classes, weaving and writing workshops.
