Cervia, a well-known location in Emilia-Romagna, overlooks one of the most beautiful areas of the Adriatic coast and its 9 km long coastline is characterized by shallow waters and a beach of fine, golden sand.
On its coast it is also possible to find its seaside hamlets, famous for the tourist offer and for their direct view on the coast: Milano Marittima, Pinarella and Tagliata.
Cervia has a vast heritage of green areas and a tourism development in harmony with the environment that led the city have the EMAS brand  and since 1998 the coveted Blue Flag award.
Defined the city of salt, Cervia has an history linked to the production of salt and the salt works already operating at the time of the Romans. Cervia offers a wide range of tourist services and for this reason it is a summer destination known all over the world. A visit to the village of salt workers reveals the charm of a city completely rebuilt at the end of the seventeenth century.
The Magazzini del Sale, now a venue for exhibitions and MUSA Salt Museum, the San Michele Tower and the Cathedral are its most significant emblems.
Piazza Garibaldi, the heart of Cervia, hosts prestigious events, markets and concerts. In the millennial pinewoods there are the Cervia Thermal Baths, at the forefront of programs and therapies, thanks also to the Cervia Salina where liman or lagoon mud is extracted, very precious for health together with the mother water.
Summer is the best time for families to relax, for the little ones and for the entertainment of young people with its clubs and discos, boutiques, luxury restaurants and piadina kiosks, mini-golf, gokart and the many events that take place. Cervia and its hamlets allow visitors to observe also different historical and natural beauties, easy to reach, such as: the Salina Park, the Butterfly Park and the Natural Park.

The sweet salt of Cervia, a Slow Food presidium, characterizes the gastronomy also proposing specialties like salt chocolate. Once in Cervia you cannot miss the Romagna piadina, passatelli, tortelli and a nice glass of Sangiovese. White wine instead for grilled blue fish. For dessert, albana and donut.

BY CAR

  • From Bologna: Take the A14 highway towards Ancona. Exit at Ravenna and continue on the SS 16 following indications for Cervia.
  • From Ancona: Take the A14 motorway towards Bologna and exit at Rimini Nord - Bellaria - Santarcangelo, reach the SS 16 in the direction of Ravenna - Bellaria and follow it to Cervia.
  • From Ravenna: take the SS 16 towards Cervia.
  • From Forlì: From the A14 highway, exit at Cesena Nord, continue on the E45 highway to Rome, follow the indications for Ravenna, exit at Casemurate and continue on the SP 254 towards Cervia.
  • From Rimini: Take the SS 16 in the direction of Cesenatico, Cervia.
