The Laboratory Museum “ex manifattura tabacchi” of Città Sant’Angelo was born with the intention to propose itself as a point of reference and of the system in the process of contemporary art, carrying out an intense activity through the organization of personal and collective exhibitions, monotematiche or free theme, meetings with artists, guided visits, of specific courses of vocational training in the field of applied arts and the realization of catalogs, videos and cds and other printed documentation, telematics and audiovisual.
Is a sharer of the project of international importance “Godart. Art School, the school with the art”, which sees the creation of the “Week of art laboratories”, a unique experience for the specificity of the organization for the aims that it pursues, in the course of which are set out of the laboratories with artists from all over the world who, with the mediation of teachers, make retraces students tracks of fantasy, thus enriching the formation of worship and causing them to know and to deepen the techniques and the contemporary studies.
The Museum, since its establishment, represents an international reference and proactively to all new and significant artistic, with one glance priority toward the European research, offering artists the possibility to operate on site and allowing Città Sant’Angelo to participate as a protagonist on the cultural and artistic debate with the involvement of the public and of the educational world. It has a rich and qualified heritage of works of the most appreciated and emerging national and international artists.
