Adjacent to the towers, the Balio Garden was built in the Norman period as an advanced defense of the castle and is a beautiful English garden where you can enjoy a unique panorama: on one side the coast that starting from the Gulf of Trapani with a particular shape sickle, continues meeting Mount Cofano, behind which you can see the tip of S. Vito lo Capo.
On the other side, a suggestive landscape where the port of Trapani and its salt marshes, the Egadi islands, the island of Mozia to Mazara del Vallo are shown to the visitor’s wonder and at the bottom, on particularly visible days, it is possible to see Capo Bon, giving the observer an extraordinary sensation of ideal connection with the African coast.
