To few footsteps from the parochial church, the Ethnographic Museum of Novalesa recounts through work tools, the furnishings and other items related to daily life, the vicissitudes and the ancient traditions of the inhabitants of the Val Cenischia.
The museum develops on two floors, reproducing the accommodation of a typical peasant house: on the ground floor are collected the tools for farming and craft (breeding, the cultivation of cereals and viticulture, crafts of wood and iron), while on the first floor are reconstructed kitchen, bedroom and the room dedicated to the works that were made in the home, as the carding and spinning of wool and the production of dairy products. The original furniture and numerous objects and tools are a valuable testimony of life and of the traditional workings of mountain culture.
In a last salon are then exposed the characteristic costumes masculine and feminine, and are collected the testimonies of the discoveries of rock engravings and cups of Celtic age discovered recently.
