The ‘Alberto Manzi’ Outdoor Archaeological Museum, on Gradone Plateau is hosted inside the Vie Cave of Pitigliano. The path is divided into two distinct areas connected between them through a tortuous path that winds along the via cava of the Gradone: the city of the living and the city of the dead.
In the first were prepared a circular hut of the Bronze Age and the Etruscan dwelling of the Archaic Age (VII-VI century a.C.), constituted by the three environments: kitchen, space for women s activities, with fireplace and frame, and the thalamos, the Camera degli Sposi. The route then continues inside a track dug in the rock, suggestive communication route Etruscan. Thus we arrive to the city of the dead, where you can admire the Etruscan necropolis, among which that of San Giovanni.
