The park on San Floriano’s Hill, in Polcenigo, is an extraordinary example of environmental recovery. The property of Luigi Bazzi and Mother Ida Foundation was opened in 1980 and recognized as rural park in 1991. The park extends over the entire hill with orchards, pastures, wooded slopes, fences for animals and receptive structures. The park is considered a gene bank and is now a very good reference point for all lovers of the theme. To be able to protect the heritage, were created fields catalog over that of the areas for breeding animals.
On top of the hill stands the church of San Floriano. In the part being built with material from the Roman era, the small building stands on a site of great value prehistoric and proto-historic times. Inside you can admire precious frescoes of the XIII and XIV century d. C. The Park of San Floriano also offers visitors the opportunity to cross a path unique teaching, and a sensory trail barefoot to appreciate the marvels of the territory.
