Castello della Fava di Posada is a beautiful medieval residence located in the municipality of Posada, in the province of Nuoro, Sardinia, Italy. This castle sits on top of a hill, offering breathtaking views of the sea and surrounding landscapes.
Built in the 12th century by the Judges of Gallura, the castle displays typical medieval architecture with an imposing and solid appearance. Its walls are made of local stone and enclose an inner courtyard, with defense towers on either side. Access to the castle is via an ancient drawbridge and a majestic entrance gate. All that remains of the ancient castle are a few surrounding walls and a crenellated quadrangular keep: from here the view sweeps over the entire Posada River valley and Tepilara Park.
