The church was built prior to 1418, as evidenced by a written on the fresco above the altar. The facade is divided into two fields using a stringcourse. On the two sides there are of the pilasters. The portal of access is framed by ashlars of squared stone and surmounted by a broken pediment. On the two sides there are two windows also framed by hewn stone. In the higher order there is a window with bezel with grooved moldings with overhanging coat of arms. The Madonna with child above the altar, which recalls the art of Siena of the XV century, is one of the greatest works of Scanno.
