The objective is to highlight the quality of artistic testimonies molisane moving from general reconsideration of the relationship the center-periphery in a historical perspective of complementarity.
Works of the regional territory, protected inside Pandone Castle, were compared with other state-owned, coming from the deposits of the museums of Capodimonte and San Martino di Napoli, the Galleria Nazionale d’Arte Antica in Rome and of the Royal Palace of Caserta.
The path is divided into two sections: the castle, a museum in itself, with its valences urban and architectural and decorative styles, and exposure to the second floor of frescoes, sculptures, paintings, drawings and prints, in an itinerary that documents the history – from the Middle Ages to the Baroque – and the various cultural orientations of patrons and artists in Molise.
Hours: 8-19. Closed on Monday. The access is allowed up to 30 minutes before closing.
