Da Brun Restaurant

Da Brun Restaurant owes its name to the family that for three generations has led this restaurant located right in the heart of the Prosecco Valdobbiadene production area. Here amidst rolling hills, vineyards and woods, the Brun family carries on, in the family farmhouse, a cuisine linked to tradition where grilled meat is the star.

The house
It was in 1957 that Lino bought this wonderful farmhouse in Cison di Valmarino, atop one of the many hills that characterize the territory of the upper Marca Trevigiana. Even today, Lino’s grandchildren and family welcome guests to their restaurant from which it is; possible to enjoy beautiful views of the vineyards and surrounding countryside. Inside the house there are large rooms with rustic furnishings, with exposed wood and brick. In winter, the most comfortable place is; the one near the large fireplace, just as it used to be done in the past.In summer, on the other hand, the restaurant also opens a delightful outdoor space, with the possibility of dining under a charming pergola that covers the entire courtyard of the farmhouse, immersed in the surrounding nature.

The menu
Da Brun restaurant offers a typical cuisine made with products from the Trevigiano territory. Among the appetizers it is; possible to find the soppressa trevigiana, while among the first courses the tagliatelle al capriolo. But the meat is; the star of the menu, cooked naturally on the open grill on the grill or on the spit, to bring out its flavors and textures to the fullest. Beef, chicken and pork are always lent in the menu, all strictly high quality and from controlled supply chain.

For those who are; vegetarian it is; also possible to order vegetables picked right from the restaurant’s garden and cooked on the grill, always respecting the right timing to enhance each product.
But there is; not only the grill: another specialty of the house (and of the whole Veneto region) are the mixed boiled meats of beef, chicken, capon and pork, accompanied by mostarda and Cren, a very strong-tasting sauce made with horseradish, bread and sugar.All always accompanied by the excellent local wines.

To finish, it is; possible to taste local cheeses (fresh, aged and extra-aged) or one of the many homemade desserts made by the Brun family.
Specialty of the restaurant is; also the coffee; prepared according to the alpine tradition, prepared by filling the moka with grappa instead of water: a coffee; that warms even in the coldest winters!

The ceremonies
Restaurant Da Brun is; also the ideal location where to hold an event or ceremony. Here you can; celebrate weddings, baptisms, confirmations, birthdays but also meetings and graduation parties. A unique place with an enchanting view. The Prosecco area, between Valdobbiadene and Conegliano, is; in fact, protected by the FAI and also praised by the poet Zanzotto, who defines the village of Cison di Valmarino (particularly the hamlet of Rolle) as a postcard sent by the gods.
