The Municipal Winehouse is housed in the halls of the thirteenth-century Palazzo del Podesta. Its construction was commissioned by Alberto Scoto, was finished in 1296. The palace was the seat of government of the Podesta and home of the Count of Santa Fiora. Since the end of the sixteenth century until 1850, the premises on the upper floors were occupied by the trial court, the premises now used as winehouse were used first as a prison and later used as a warehouse for salt. The interior rooms, with 50 seats, can accommodate both a tasting for a romantic aperitif or a lunch of cold cuts and cheese DOP from Piacenza. The tasting room can hold up to 30 people and is also suitable for events, groups, business meetings. There are regular wine tasting guided by expert sommeliers or winemakers cellars of Val d’Arda. A small, cozy room where you can find just artisanal products, all freshly prepared. We have chosen and selected delicacies and best known representative of our tradition, you can taste and buy local products Piacenza wines of the vineyards that line the lush surrounding hills. Our boards are ideal for a quick snack and tasty, to replace a full meal with quality food or break the hunger with an afternoon aperitif.
