The Gianni Doglia winery has been producing high-quality wines in Castagnole delle Lanze for more than three generations. Founded in 1940 by Gianni’s grandparents, the winery has been handed down from father to son until the winemaker and profound connoisseur of the territory, Gianni Doglia, who today is directly responsible for cultivating the sixteen hectares of vineyards located in the municipalities of Castagnole delle Lanze, Coazzolo and Nizza Monferrato.
Passion for viticulture and love for their territory have led Gianni and his family to dedicate themselves with commitment to the production of wines of the highest quality, a genuine expression of the territory that hosts them. The small family-run business allows them to devote special attention to the entire production chain, thus succeeding in expressing at its best the essence of a unique territory, vocated cradle of oenological excellence and Unesco Heritage.
The wines produced by Azienda Vitivinicola Gianni Doglia are of excellent quality and all characterized by the deep connection with the territory of origin. All of the winery’s wines are the result of careful grape selection and meticulous cellar processing, which includes spontaneous fermentation with indigenous yeasts and a long stay in wooden barrels for red wines. The result is a wide range of wines of great elegance and complexity, capable of best expressing the essence of the territory in which they were produced.
The Gianni Doglia winery stands out for its profound attention to environmental sustainability and the enhancement of its terroir. The decision to grow mainly native grapes and to process them using traditional methods makes it possible to obtain wines of great quality, but also to preserve the biodiversity of the territory and to keep alive the ancient local traditions.
In addition, the winery promotes wine tourism, organizing guided tours of the vineyards and wineries, tastings, picnics in the vineyard and vineyard walks.
